So, you’re getting married! You have to be if you’re looking through this list, or maybe you’re just looking for ideas for your future wedding? Either way, this list is sure to make you think twice about how you’re going to dress your bridesmaids, pick ties for your best men, or decorate your altar and reception! And don’t worry about looking for those who offer wedding catering in Manila, there’s plenty for everybody.
Vintage
You can’t go wrong with vintage. They never go out of fashion. Vintage themes reach back in time and pull elements from that specific time. There's 1930's art deco, luxurious Great Gatsby, or even the homey feel of the 1940s. Lace is a must for vintage themed weddings, with table centerpieces consist of delicately colored flowers, and the decoration touched with gold or silver accents. Some of the details that exude vintage are classic bouquets, made of roses and peonies, or a fabric bouquet with pearls and heirloom brooches; the ceremony and reception space can be decorated with vintage lanterns, old fashioned urns full of flowers with soft colors; a newsboy ring bearer--the possibilities are endless.
Rustic
Rustic and vintage might seem the same, but the difference between them is that while vintage goes back in time and takes elements from the past, rustic is more of an outdoorsy theme. It feels natural, and the design leans more to country elements, like barns and mason jars. Dress your bridesmaids with cowboy boots, your best men with jeans and leather vests to match their cowboy boots and hats; use wildflowers or arrange your bouquet, can consist of boldly colored flowers such as sunflowers, with a little soft colored accent flower like lavenders for contrast, as if it were just freshly picked; again, think of a farm-esque outdoor theme.
Winter
This is probably gaining popularity because of the intense heat this summer. Why not cool your guests down with a winter themed wedding? Adorn your reception with holiday colors like, red and gold, or hollies and gold ribbons; silver and blue for your ceremony program with cutouts of snowflakes; try a romantic a horse-drawn carriage for your transportation; and you can use icicle inspired centerpieces for your reception, with white flowers and candles on your tables with touches of silver to create a bedazzled winter wonderland—or an icy blue and white theme.
Geek
Since the rise of superhero movies and book adaptations, more and more people are going with a geek themed wedding, especially when their favorite fandom has a very cute couple they can base their wedding on. Some of the more favored themes are movies—Star Wars—Leia and Han for the bride and groom, Darth Vader for the bride’s father, and storm troopers for the bridal party; superheroes—Batgirl and Nightwing, Superman and Lois Lane, Jean Grey and Cyclops, for the bride and groom, and the Avengers or Justice League for the bridal party; books—Arwen and Aragorn from Lord of the Rings, Geralt and Yennefer from The Witcher, Persephone and Hades from Greek Mythology; there are so many books to choose from! From nerdy cakes to small details like a circus themed reception for a DC comics inspired wedding, to four tables representing the four houses of Hogwarts from Harry Potter.
